Transmitting the energy and emotion of Argentine dance to beginners with a measured approach, John Rownan and company teach tango alongside its traditional cousin in dance, milonga. The founding instructor learnt his fiery craft in Buenos Aires, and now incorporates an authentic range of styles in his precise workshops and dexterously spun beginners’ classes.
Participants can learn to find their dancing feet in either Dublin or Donnybrook, arriving suitably kitted out in comfortable clothing and shoes. The four classes last for one hour each, and aim to give beginners a feel for tango’s defined movements and time-honoured rhythms.
