Open to absolute beginners and pre-test experienced drivers alike, all lessons and programs are tailored to the abilities and skill levels of the individual.

Nascent motorists can hone in on their braking, clutching and handling skills with module one or two of the Initial Basic Training (IBT) test. A requirement for motorcycle driving with a learner’s permit, the training is divided into four key modules. Module one has six objectives and consists of three hours class tuition. Module two has ten objectives and lasts at least five hours and begins the tuition on the bike. Alternatively, those keen to improve their technique can enjoy a two hour bike lesson.

The six objectives in module one are:

• Personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Introduction to the motorcycle controls

Technical checks:

• How to start and stop the engine

The ten objectives covered in module two are:
