Opening up to asthmatics not only in Ireland and the UK, the Buteyko method has also taken its techniques to the USA, Canada, and Denmark. Working in association with AsthmaCare the specially trained practitioners host a series of three and four part clinics to teach a programme developed by Russian respiratory professor Konstantin Buteyko.

Split over a series of four Friday evening or three Saturday morning classes, the course (up to €225) will welcome attendees to each session in the Eden Quay AsthmaCare branch. The course aims to dissuade individuals from breathing through the mouth and instead focus on unblocking the nose. Using the breath hold technique, customers are encouraged to switch to nasal breathing, and alter breathing volume to normal levels. Practical guidance to help with diet, sleep and sports is also explored.
