Educating the masses with a team of dedicated and fully qualified tutors, Liffey College offers a stream of courses aimed at strengthening communities through knowledge. A range of qualifications are taught, from diplomas in business studies to NFQs, with courses tailored to many skill levels. Facilities include a recreational area, resource room with library and a modern computer lab with Microsoft Office suites and free internet access.
Budding multilingual maestros will enrol on a 10 week course beginning on 21 January, with classes taught every Saturday at 10am or 2pm. In these two hour sessions students are given a choice of Spanish, Italian or French for beginners or intermediates, with options in Mandarin Chinese or German for beginners. Expert multilingual or native tutors lead on the essential aspects of language, including spoken communication, grammar and sentence structure, plus listening, comprehension, and everyday spoken and written language. The course is also exam-free so students need not worry about confuzzling tick boxes, and a certificate of completion is awarded upon completion.
