And with 40 acres and a web of quiet roads stretching out from the gates, the school is also well placed for adventurous hacks into the leafy reaches of the countryside. 
Troting tricksters can leap into a soft leather saddle and join a group lesson for an hour, or book in for half an hour of intensive one-to-one training. Riders will be taught the basics of giddy-up as they trot in ever more intricate geometrical shapes around the arena, before stepping down bandy-legged to head straight for the tea room.
