The Estate
Presiding in three acres of private woodland, with the shores of Cragmoher Lough lapping at its feet, Burren Escape surrounds its 19th century country house with a trio of holiday properties. Unit 1 and 2 each take a side of what used to be the 19th century building’s coach house; both lovingly renovated rental holiday homes equipped with modern comforts and spacious living areas adorned with tiled floors and picturesque fireplaces. With two bedrooms and a sofa bed, these units can sleep up to eight people. Unit 3, the Ghillies Cottage, is the cosiest of the trio, created in the former gamekeeper’s home on the estate, and now a yellow-painted cottage with potted flowers lining the patio. With one bedroom and a sofa bed, this unit can sleep up to four people.

Groupon Recommends
Make the most of Mother Nature with a trip to The Burren National Park. Although appearing barren with its vast rocky spaces, the soil is actual known as the ‘fertile rock’ due to its nutrient rich herb and floral species, with the Limestone Pavement a popular walking trail. This could be combined with a visit to the Cliffs of Moher, the distinctive rock formation along with The Burren, has been granted Global Geopark status by UNESCO. Drive the 20 minutes south to Shannon and get a ye olde step into the past at Bunratty Castle with 16th century tapestries and medieval banquets to explore, or ponder prehistoric mysteries at Caherconnel Stone Fort closer to the estate.
