Horses are traditionally creatures of integrity, as evidenced by the phrase "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it lip sync." Be the real deal with today's Groupon: €10 instead of €25 for a 45 minute horse riding lesson at Galway Equestrian Centre.
Only a few minutes from Galway City, this centre offers a horsebox full of equestrian delights, with trekking, dressage and equine assisted learning, all set within more than 100 acres of beautiful Athenry countryside. Approved by AIRE and Ireland Sailte, Galway Equestrian Centre has over 20 trained horses and ponies, and indoor and outdoor arenas to trot and canter in. Young riders can gallop into summer with the unerringly popular pony camp, while the centre's new onsite tack shop caters to the sporting needs of riders and thoroughbred fashion fans of all ages.
Groupon showjumpers of all abilities can leap into the saddle with the assistance of the Galway Equestrian Centre's British Horse Society-qualified instructors, for a 45 minute horse riding lesson. With an indoor and an outdoor arena to put their paces to, riders in groups of no more than eight will begin with 20 minutes of instruction, before trotting off for a hack around the centre’s trail. Equipment is provided, so the only proviso to saddling up is some sensible attire, a good posture and a bit of bit-chomping.
