Snuggled within one of the world’s largest natural harbours, the WatersEdge Hotel drops anchor amid the maritime relics, wild scenery, and cosy pubs and restaurants of Cobh in County Cork.
Reel in a leisurely break with today's Groupon from the WatersEdge Hotel:
€119 for a two night stay for two (Up to 54% off)
• In a twin or double room with breakfast each morning and a bottle of wine on arrival
Bathed in the spray of the Celtic Sea, this coastal hotel completes its inspiring setting with hearty cuisine, traditional furnishings, and old-fashioned hospitality. The WatersEdge Hotel warms up evenings with robust bistro dining at the Jacob’s Ladder Restaurant, which shows off seasonal and locally sourced produce alongside rousing views of the harbour. An accompanying balcony bar offers up snifters, tipples, and refreshments for afternoons spent watching the docking ships, and keeps grumbly tummies at bay with snacks and light meals.
Reach new heights with a seven-minute hike to Cobh's French Gothic cathedral, which not only astounds with its ornately arched interiors, but delights with sweeping views across the town and harbour. Natural spectacles can be taken in on a coastal trek or drive to nearby Cuskinny, where a nature reserve hides plenty of flora and fauna, and where falcons, kestrels, and harrier hawks can be spotted swooping above the dramatic headland. Returning to the windswept streets of Cobh, get a taste for the area and sample some of the local seafood, or round an evening off with a leisurely sup in one of the many pubs, where light snacks and woody whiskeys may be enjoyed.

It is close to everything with beautiful sea views from the restaurant and lovely outdoor seating area. The food is excellent and staff are friendly and helpful. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and modern and the hotel has an underground car park for residents.

The hotel is excellent, and very reasonable. It has access to a pontoon, which is suitable for most yachts or powerboats. Well worth a visit. Good staff, good food, good accommodation.
