Standing as a long and narrow strip of land, guarding the northern side of the Lower Lough Erne lake, Boa Island is connected to the mainland by two roads leading on and off it, being directly accessible by car.
The island is steeped in history with the strange Caldragh Cemetery and its enigmatic Janus and The Lustymore Man stone carvings, left alone in a small cemetery with nothing else apart from a few old gravestones. Considered to date from the Iron Age, the sculptures are described as Celtic Idols.
