Built in 2006, the hotel is deckedout according to the provisions of the four star standard, with simple, elegantly furnished en suite rooms in soft oatmeal tones and with kingfisher flashes of colour. From the crisp white pillows to the tiny Elemis toiletries, and from the ample 18 metre swimming and hydrotherapy pool to the sauna, steam room and fitness studio, the hotel offers guests a number of backdrops for intense relaxation. Having dropped their valises with the valets, guests can choose to kick off a two night mini break with a four course feast in the contemporary Kelby’s Bistro. With a vast picture window running the length of the restaurant, guests can watch the evening draw in as the courses draw on, before retiring for a nightcap in the bar or heading straight upstairs to bounce on the beds. Rising early enough to make use of all the mini toiletries, guests can then skip downstairs for a full Irish breakfast before heading to lounge by the pool, work out in the gym, or seek pampered bliss in the spa. All in all it was a most enjoyable few days, and I would seriously recommend this hotel.
