Moderation of user-generated content (UGC): customer reviews

Our platform allows users to post reviews on deals purchased. We filter customer reviews to support compliance with our policies and applicable law. We do not edit customer reviews once they are published but we may remove them in limited circumstances.

During the reporting period, Groupon engaged in no content moderation actions on its own initiative.

Automated moderation: We use automated, keyword-based filtering designed to block reviews containing curse/profanity terms from being published.  We do not currently have a reliable metric for the number of reviews automatically blocked by this filter.

Complaint handling system

Users who believe their review or other content was moderated in error can contact Customer Support at: https://www.groupon.ie/faq.

During the reporting period, Groupon received no complaints against any decision taken.
