About This Deal
About Barnardos Barnardos was established in 1962 and in 2012 worked with over 6,300 children and families, providing direct services, advice and support through more than 40 centres. The charity supports children whose wellbeing is under threat, by working with them, their families and communities and by campaigning for the rights of children. Barnardos works to improve the lives of children in Ireland and in particular children who face barriers such as poverty, abuse, neglect or bereavement which prevents them reaching their full potential. Kind supporters can give the greatest gift at Christmas time and donate anywhere between €5 and €150 to Barnardos. 100% of the generous contribution will go toward assisting children and their families in much need of support. Choose from the following options A €5 donation will go towards covering the cost of a children’s breakfast club A €10 donation will go towards a Barnardos afterschool service which means that vulnerable children will receive a hot dinner after school, be given help with their homework, and a chance to play in a safe environment A €25 donation will go towards running a Barnardos friendship group for children aged six to nine, designed to address social skills, peer relationships and improve children’s overall emotional wellbeing. It aims to help children learn how to manage their emotions and resolve conflict without fighting A €45 donation will provide children and their families with onetoone support sessions, including help around family budget and parenting skills A €150 donation will go towards helping to keep a Barnardos project centre open, where children can learn all the skills they need to develop and make their own way in life
