The Hotel
The Arboliz Landetxea rural house is located in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, on the coast of the Basque Country. It is a unique natural jewel in the heart of Bizkaia and the same municipality of Ibarrangelu. Nearby are the beaches of Laga and Laida.
The rooms at this family-run county house have wooden floors and feature private bathrooms. Some rooms have a private terrace with views of the spectacular coastline.
There is a shared kitchen where guests can prepare their dinners.
Groupon's Guide To The Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve:
The Urdaibai estuary is a natural area that occupies an area of 220 km² and thanks to its great ecological wealth, it has been classified as a biosphere reserve by Unesco in 1984, receiving the name of Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. It is also known as the Mundaca or Guernica estuary. In addition to being the most important wetland in the Basque Country, it is an important resting area for migratory birds.
On the coast of the Urdaibai reserve, there are twelve beaches, including the large sandbanks of Laida or Laga, or small coves such as Antzoras or Lapatza.
This area is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Vizcaya, as it has monuments known as the Baños de Pedernales, and its beaches are the ones used by the Biscayans.
Visitors can also do routes through the mountains, such as the Camino de los Reyes, or the Golako River Route.
As if that were not enough, visitors can experience whale watching and observe the many islands from their viewpoints. In addition to this, enjoy the gastronomy of the area, a mix between the rural and the marine that will not leave you indifferent.
