Royal fairy train

A royal fairy train takes children, who are granted hot chocolate and marshmallows, on a journey to the magical Rathwood forest. Guided by Fairy Princess Rose Willow and Fairy Prince Rusty Whisper, little guests meet fairy friends, see their homes and are invited to feed geese and their babies. Participants also make their own fairy door which they can take home with them.

Rathwood

Established for over 20 years, Rathwood is a family-run department store and restaurant in Rath, Tullow. The 15-acre site offers all manner of gifts, gazebos, sheds, pots, plants and gifts to peruse, while also offering an animal park complete with forest walks, train rides and a children’s play area. Visitors can also experience a spot of falconry, or take on the Maze of Ireland; a 1.2-acre beech maze in the shape of the country.
