Groupon Asks Groupon Asks photographer and owner of JustForYou Photography Agnieszka Laprus how beautiful babies, natural poses and a friend in need have helped shape her career. G How did you discover photography? “Photography for me began as a hobby and has grown into fulltime passion. My friends noticed my love of landscape photography, and suggested I should try taking photos of people. A new love and passion emerged after almost instantly.” G Where do you get your inspiration? “I am inspired by just about everything around me; my family, my friends, and every person I meet. I look into their eyes and see the beauty, fascination, and wonder that inspires my creativity.” G What is your favourite subject matter, and why? “Babies. They are so sweet and so innocent, pure and genuine. There is nothing fake about them. They are always beautiful, even when they are crying.” G What’s your favourite photograph, and why? “That would be the first photo portrait I took. A few years ago, a friend asked me to photograph her though I had no experience in photographing people. After a while she said that she wanted to change clothes for the next shot, and she stopped posing. She didn’t even know that I was still taking photos; I saw something special which I had to capture on camera, and she was so natural without posing. I try to bring this natural, relaxed quality to all my photographs now, to really capture people’s true spirit on camera.”
