We arrived at the hotel and the staff was not aware of our booking, even though we had booked via the booking system here on the Groupon page.
The manager said we should have called the hotel (seriously?). He was clueless.
The fine print clearly says: "Mandatory online booking required". It does not mention a call at all.
They managed to prepare the food anyway, as they realised they were wrong. The food was ok, but the overall experience was very disappointing.
If you are going to post a deal on Groupon, at least make your staff aware of that and please explain them how it will work to avoid customer frustration.
