Groupon Asks John Nugent of Newcastle Airfield about his fleet of winged wonders and finds out more about his aircraft of choice.   G Tell us more about the aircraft at Newscastle Airfield. “We have many types of aircraft that range from vintage to modern planes. There are microlight, taildragger, fixed wing and rotary classes, as well as two helicopters.” G What will the workshop cover? “There will be a briefing that explains how to finish or reinstate your pilot licence and a meet and greet with qualified pilots.” G What is your favourite plane to fly, and why? “The Piper J3 Club. This is an oldschool, vintage aircraft that is perfect for touring the rivers and mountains of County Wicklow.”
