On the east side of the Poiana Brasov ski resort, the hotel offers hardskiing guests chill out options such as a sauna and Jacuzzi, and a restaurant serving international and Romanian cuisine. Rina Vista Hotel is a kilometre and a half west of Tirol, still at the heart of the Poiana Brasov resort, and cuts a more modern figure with its bright white and navy blue exterior. Offering equipment hire, snow sports instructors, and transport to the nearby slopes, the hotel also boasts a sauna and a restaurant serving local and international dishes. Rina Sinaia Hotel is found in the centre of the Sianaia resort, which is located just under 50 kilometres south of Poiana Brasov and well known for its high altitude skiing. A spa, pool, sauna and fitness facilities are also found onsite, and the restaurant is accompanied by a hotel bar and club with a resident DJ. Snow cannons keep the pistes in skiable shape, with runs catering predominantly to intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The resort also boasts smooth, wide nursery slopes for those just setting out, and some steeper challenges for advanced skiers including two black runs. Après ski events include ice skating, Romanian meal nights with local entertainment, and candlelit walks. If taking a break from skiing you can travel to the beautiful medieval city of Brasov just over 15 and a half kilometres away, or dare to venture a little further to Bran Castle, linked to the Dracula legend and now open as a museum. Sinaia is also a wellestablished ski resort, with cable cars taking winter sports fans up onto the high altitude slopes, and a long bobsledding run providing an alternative way of sliding down the mountain.
