The Deal
Diners at can dig in to a two-course meal of chicken wings with blue cheese dip (usually €8) or soup of the day with homemade bread (€4) to start. This can be followed by a main of sizzling 10oz sirloin steak served with sauteed onions and mushroom garni (€16.50). Alternative main dishes include pork and leek sausages on a bed of champ with red onion gravy (€11) or a chicken curry with rice and poppadoms (€12.50).
The Merchant
The Black Lion Bar can trace its beginnings back to 1734 where it began life as a coaching inn. As well as the variety of food on offer, they provide an array of drinks to enjoy as well as showing a plethora of sporting events on 14 large screens. A reserved area is also available for parties for special occasions.
