With four golf courses nearby, and a network of rivers, plains and lakes in the surrounding countryside, the hotel is well placed for outdoor explorations such as fishing, putting, horse riding and hiking. For two nights guests can leave their valises with the valets and enjoy a glass of wine on arrival, before settling in to their cosy accommodation, which includes a flat screen TV and free wifi. After a full breakfast in the morning, guests can steel themselves away for a dip in the pool, or head out for a long mountain ramble, taking in the best of the west. Reviews The McWilliam Park Hotel scored a kingsized 9/10 on GoIreland, while reviews on TripAdvisor were also encouraging. Guests of the hotel praised the friendly staff and comfortable rooms, although some reviewers found the accommodation slightly dated. Our room was lovely and found the staff friendly. We got our meal on the first night and the food was fab. It was very busy but we didn’t feel rushed and the waitresses asked regularly if we needed anything.
