The bedrooms look out to mountains or the coast and the sea air can be tasted at a cluster of stone seats and tables in the garden. Groupon Recommends The 18hole championship Waterville Golf Course lies on the doorstep of the hotel, while those not in the mood for a round can stroll out across the beach towards the hills in the distance. Eight miles off the coast lies UNESCO world heritage site Skellig Michael, a seventh century monastery built 600 metres high on a spiky island rising sheer out of the sea. Hop in the car and head north to Portmagee, where boat trips leave for the island. The Stay • Double room with mountain or sea views • Breakfast each morning Transport Road Follow the N70 along the Kerry coast from Kenmare, looking out for signs to Waterville Golf Club as you approach Murreagh. The highlight was our meal for the night, overlooking the water. The service was excellent the selection on the menu was extensive the presentation and taste was of a five star restaurant. Breakfast the next morning was served by the owner/chef was extensive also included in the price of the stay. A well hidden treasure trove that needs to be discovered. sic – KGTI, May 2010
