Had a great time and everyone was really nice.
Arrived a little bit early was we were able to walk around the yard and interact with the horses in the stables.
My wife is an advanced rider and I am a novice but we weren't treated any differently and was just quickly made to feel at ease. While not a lesson they were able to help me with the basics so that I was more comfortable.
At the end of the trek, the more advanced rider were taken for a gallop.
I can highly recommend this and we will be going back again.
Disappointed. Unprofessional. Wouldn’t go back.
The horses were all lovely. Our two were very sensitive and kind. Seemed to be well cared for, just needed a good groom though.
Booked in for 11am and didn’t set out until around 11.50am, so 30mins sitting on the horses while waiting for other clients to arrive and the staff to get tacked/mounted up.
Trek was basic enough once we finally got going & didn’t see a huge amount of scenery, mostly just woods. At one point, one of the staff took two riders off on a different trail for a canter, but didn’t offer if any of the more experienced riders wanted to go. Myself (advanced rider) and my friend (intermediate rider) would have loved to do this. Also we got back to the yard just after 12.35, so we didn’t even get the full 60mins trek.
The yard staff were nice enough but no customer service with booking via email / text before hand or on the day. The main guy (owner?) also didn’t use great language to describe his staff / previous staff (bit offensive to be honest). And no introductions / brief before the ride, we didn’t even know what the guys name was.
The yard / property was a bit disheveled and some of the ponies were left loose in an inclosed space beside the stables. There was random stuff on the ground (empty gravel bags, big plastic containers etc) and the ponies were tacked up (some stirrups left down) not very safe at all. Too many ponies in a small space like that.
There was around 10 clients & 5 staff, so definitely could have broke the group into two to suit the levels & been a bit more personal. Once the riders were on the horse they kind of just left it at that, but they did check girth’s which was good. The whole experience just seemed very unorganised & messy.
Wouldn’t go back. Which is a shame because the horses are nice & it’s 5 min walk to the trails. Plus it was my friends birthday present, and she was also disappointed in the whole experience.
I dont know how great could be this ride as I have no chance to check it. When I wanted book a ride noone answered. My emails are ignored. I spoke to the man ( phone number on website ) he asked me for vouchers numbers and said he would book a ride. It might take two , three weeks. Ok, I understand, I understand a lots of - Covid, being busy etc. But I dont understand such behavior. Ignoring emails, phones. I asked for my money back- of course noone answered. I am sick and tired with sending email and waiting. I dont want a ride I want my money back.
