From within their beautifully restored Georgian townhouse, the staff at the Corrib House Tea Rooms welcome guests into their elegant dining room overlooking the picturesque salmon weir. Breakfasts and lunches are produced using fresh, local, organic produce and seasonable ingredients wherever possible, and served next to an open fire to warm the cockles on chilly days. Corrib House also offers sophisticated accommodation with traditionalstyle bedrooms, furnished with contemporary fittings. Two or four stomachs will be cured of rumbling with a traditional lunch at the Tea Rooms. Classiness reigns with a main course each to choose from, with options such as the Corrib House pie of the day €8.95, or the warm tandoori chicken salad with mixed leaves, spring onion, cherry tomatoes and toasted cashew nuts, drizzled with a coriander and lime dressing €7.90. Equally enticing but also suitable for vegetarians is the chargrilled aubergine, courgette and mixed pepper wrap with rocket pesto and goats cheese, served warm alongside dressed leaves and a side salad €7.70.
