Can I change my Irish Ferries booking?
To change your booking, log in to your account. Once logged in you will be able to change your travel dates and times, update your contact details, resend your booking confirmation, change your vehicle details and add and remove passengers on your booking. Depending on the changes you make, fees may apply.
What identification do I need to sail with Irish Ferries?
On Ireland/Britain routes, all nationalities with the exception of Irish and British citizens are required to bring a valid passport with them in order to travel. Irish and British citizens can use any of the following forms of ID, but Irish Ferries recommends that people use their passport for identification purposes:
- Passport
- Driving Licence
- European identity Card
- Bank cards
- Photo ID (school or college)
- Utility Bills
- Birth Certificate
On Ireland/France routes all customers are required to carry a valid passport or an officially recognised European Union ID card. Additionally, non-EU nationals may require visas to visit Ireland, Britain or France and should check with the appropriate embassy before booking travel.
What are the check in times for Irish Ferries?
For Ireland/Britain routes you must be through the check-in point 1 hour before departure if you are travelling by coach. If you’re travelling in any other sort of vehicle, on foot or by bike, you must be through the check-in point 30 minutes prior to departure.
For Ireland/France routes the latest check in times are longer. If you are traveling by coach you must be though the check in point 2 hours prior to departure. Those travelling by motorcycle must be checked in 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to departure. People traveling in any other sort of vehicle, by foot or by bike must be checked in 1 hour prior to departure. If you are travelling with animals or pets on these routes you must be checked in 2 hours prior to departure.
Can pregnant passengers to sail on Irish Ferries?
Women who are under 28 weeks pregnant can sail on Irish ferries with no restrictions. If you are between 28 and 31 weeks pregnant then you must have a Doctor’s note showing that you are fit to travel. Travel is not allowed for women who are more than 31 weeks pregnant.
