The Hotel

Travellers can also visit the 13th-century Black Abbey and its mix of modern and antique stained glass windows, statues and relics, and venture over to St Mary’s Cathedral, first crafted in the 19th century. Coming back to the present day, visitors can stop by at the National Craft Gallery Kilkenny Design Centre which exhibits contemporary pieces by Irish designers, or wander in and around the city’s interesting collection of shops, pubs and restaurants.

    Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of this iconic hotel, we have a lot of stairs and no lifts. As such, our rooms are unsuitable for persons with impaired mobility. However, we will do all we can to accommodate every member of your party if you contact us for further information.
