How to use:

• Unfold and place a training pad on the floor with the plastic side down and the white side up
• Place the pad in an accessible area for the pet
• Ensure this is away from the area where the pet would usually eat and sleep
• Ideally use an area close to the door where you will eventually take the pet out to urinate

Training tips:

• Help familiarize the puppy with the pad by placing it on the pad several times during the day
• When the puppy successfully goes potty on the pad, immediately reward with verbal praise and a special treat
• Replace the used pad with a fresh one
• If the puppy eliminates elsewhere, gently place it back on the pad as encouragement, always using positive (never negative) reinforcement
• For best results, confine the puppy to a smaller space to start, like a kitchen or bathroom
