About Wicklow's Historic Gaol
Wicklow's Historic Gaol aims to transport guests back in time and offer an immersive experience at what used to be one of the cruellest prisons in Ireland. Visitors will come face to face with some of the most notorious characters to have walked the floors of Wicklow Gaol. The building housed its first convicts back in 1702, but the present building dates back to 1843. It features three stories, an extensive basement as well as a yard area. Those up for a chilling adventure can opt to visit at night. The venue can be hired for private events, offering on-site catering services and a spacious parking area.
