Overlooking Marble Hill Beach and the Sheephaven Bay from its seaside location in Portnablagh, the four star Shandon Hotel & Spa is a brand new hotel opening in the spring of 2016. Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way Route, this fully refurbished venue is also a a short drive away from Dunfanaghy and Horn Head.

All bedrooms offer sea views, and come with a mix of modern and traditional features in the form of wooden furnishings, patterned drapes, ceiling spotlights and flat-screen TVs.

The restaurant serves a wide range of dishes using local produce such as 100% Irish beef, the hotel bar serves pub grub in a scenery with floor to ceiling windows towards the bay, while the lobby bar beckons with afternoon tea and a selection of drinks in the company of a roaring fire.

The spa takes advantage of the coastline setting with full-height picture windows across three floors encompassing eight spacious treatment rooms offering a wealth of facilities such as a dry flotation bed, massages, seaweed body wraps, and a balneotherapy bath with 190 water jets.

Relaxation may be further pursued at the leisure centre comprising a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub.
