Teddy Bear Picnic
Families can join mama bear, baby bear and baby bear’s new sister at Rathwood’s teddy bear picnic this spring and summer. Starting with a stop at the teddy bear factory, visitors will be able to create their own bear before hopping aboard the Rathwood Express to be taken down to the woodland, and little ones who have met the bears last year can be sure they will walk out with a different fellow. Guests will enjoy a picnic with their new friends, complete with refreshments and snacks supplied throughout the day. Entry to the one-hour event is available for children aged nine and under, with accompanying adults, while the picnic will take place inside the Teddy Bears’ Castle in the event of bad weather.

About Rathwood
Operating for over 20 years, Rathwood is a family-run department store and restaurant in Tullow. The 15-acre site offers all manner of gifts, gazebos, sheds, pots and plants to peruse, and features an animal park complete with forest walks, train rides and a children's play area. Visitors can also enjoy the 300-seater Merry Tree Restaurant and outdoor play area, or take on the Maze of Ireland - a 1.2-acre beech maze in the shape of the country.
